GRIN-Global Workshop 2017 for European genebanks

The workshop will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, 29-31 August 2017. This ECPGR Activity is sponsored by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
This workshop is being organized by ECPGR in collaboration with Crop Research Institute, Gene Bank, Prague Ruzyne and with the Crop Trust.
The aim of the workshop is to present and familiarize genebanks with the documentation system GRIN-Global.

GRIN Global 2016

International workshop GRIN Global 2016 is held in the the Genebank in CRI under the sponsorship of the Global Crop Diversity Trust from 8th to 12th of February 2016. The workshop is attended by 25 specialists in documentation system of plant genetic resources from whole world. They will get to know how to work with the documentation system GRIN Global. This system developed by the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service in cooperation with Bioversity International and the Global Crop Diversity Trust has been providing in CRI for all participants of the Czech National Programme for Conservation and Utilization of Genetic Resources and Bioversity since June 2015 (under the name GRIN Czech).

We are pleased to invite You to international conference organized by the Crop Research Institute in Prague on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of long-term field experiments in the Czech Republic. These long-term field experiments, running at various sites - Prague, Ivanovice na Hané, Čáslav and Lukavec – and all according to the original methodology, have provided a significant amount of findings concerning the effects of different fertilizer treatments on the yield and quality of arable crops.

Wetlands and Agriculture 2015

We are pleased to invite you to the conference Wetlands in Agricultural Landscapes: Present State and Perspectives in Europe that will be held in the Czech Republic, 11-16 October 2015.

The conference will be a forum for the exchange of scientific knowledge and practical experience regarding wetlands, their state and role in agricultural landscapes of Europe.
Scientists, managers, agricultural policy makers and executive officials, involved in the conservation, restoration and management of wetlands occurring in areas with predominantly intensive agriculture are expected to participate and present experience and prospects of the integration of wetlands into agricultural landscapes.

The conference is organised jointly by the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, Crop Research Institute in Prague and University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.

XVIth European Carabidologists Meeting

The decision was made during the XVth European Carabidologists Meeting in Daugavpils, Latvia, August 2011 that in two years the organization will move to the Czech Republic for the first time. We are pleased to announce that the XVIth European Carabidologists Meeting will take place in September 22-27, 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic, jointly organized by specialists from Crop Research Institute (Prague), Czech University of Life Sciences (Prague) and Administration of the České Středohoří Landscape Protected Area (Litoměřice). We are proud that the meeting will be organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.
